Delrin (POM) is a high-strength, low-friction and wear-resistant engineering plastic, suitable for turning and milling in CNC machining. It has good dimensional stability and is suitable for manufacturing high-precision mechanical parts. It is recommended to use sharp hard alloy or plastic-specific tools during processing to prevent the material from melting. The recommended spindle speed for turning is 2000-6000 RPM, and for milling it can reach 6000-12000 RPM. The feed rate should be controlled at 0.1-0.4 mm/rev or 300-1000 mm/min depending on the structure. It is applicable to precision parts such as gears, sliders and insulating parts.
